First Thai house warming party...

Firstly I wish someone would please explain how blogs actually work. I just spent about 20 minutes trying to find my own blog. I ended up searching for myself on google and then found it but then it wouldn't let be post. So if someone understand blogs more than I do...please explain as me not being able to find my own blog is not getting to be a regular occurrence!

Anyways yet again the week/weekend has flown by and I don't where its gone. So my week so far has involved work and more work and meeting Thai friends. Yesterday I went to do a shopping centre to do some work but then got distracted when I remembered that I could go shopping instead; unfortunately though Thai clothes aren't all that fabulous and half of them seem to have something cute on them like a giant Hello Kitty...I may be a cat lover but oh no no cats sit on your lap not on a T Shirt. Also the photo of the elephants-above:) in their fabulous Christmas hats is taken outside the shopping centre. I nearly caused a traffic jam, as I spotted the elephants on my way into parking my bike and like a typical foreigner whipped out my camera and got snapping at the elephants. The cars and other bikes behind me were not impressed but oh well I'm sure they were secretly jealous that I camera to hand:)

Today I went to my first Thai house warming party. It was a beautiful house and when we arrived their were about 5 monks chanting away; I really wanted to take a photo but that would have been totally foreigneresk I feel, so resisted. So we sat down whilst they continued to chant/sing and then this was followed by a buffet. I was looking forward to this part as food is always an exciting part to the day but alas their was barely any vegetarian food and the food was extra spicy...sad times!

Tomorrow is the King's birthday so no uni tomorrow...I am so tempted to have a sunbathing day but sadly I have an exam in a week then I'm back homeeee:)

Thai friends

I have two favourite fabulous Thai friends so I thought they should get a mention on here!
The first photo is of my friend Nam at Loi Krathong festival and the second photo is of my friend Bai modelling a pair of geeky glasses:)
No incredibly exciting news so far this week except apparently Chiang Mai University is getting a royal visit so the entrance to the uni is looking very grand I must say! I will be taking some photos of it tomorrow:)
